When he found out that she also had a daughter, he was upset and demanded that her father send his daughter away to be sold. Her father refused to do this, telling him that he needed to take responsibility for his actions and to think carefully before putting them in action.

The man was infuriated and decided to take action anyway, throwing stones through the window of the house where Monica’s mother lived with her daughter. This is an example of how modern people lack the morals or wisdom of a time when people did not have cell phones or computers.
